At the age of 28, I am very lucky to have lived in a variety of places and travelled the world. Due to my father being in the military, I grew up around Australia. From my birthplace Wahroonga, Sydney I have also lived in Adelaide, Canberra, Saudi Arabia and now settled in Johannesburg.
I am currently a Grade 3 teacher at The Ridge School, an all boy's private school in Johannesburg. From next term I will be working at St John's College, also an all boys' school as the Grade 4-7 IT teacher - definitely a learning curve for me! Although I am teacher, I am also a learner, not only learning with and through my students, but also being committed to professional development and research. Knowledge does not remain stagnant and it is imperative that I am aware of current educational developments, issues and research - I can see this unit LCN616 will definitely add a feather to my hat in terms of research and current educational trends. One of my passions is photography and living in South Africa enables me to take beautiful photographs of nature, animals and their stunning coastal garden route. Please see the links below for the two schools I work at and have a sneak peak at some of my photographs I have taken around Africa. |

Johannesburg Gauteng, South Africa I have been living in Johannesburg, South Africa for 3 years. I have been lucky enough to travel to Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia to Game Reserves (Safaris), 4x4 adventures and Victoria Falls. Johannesburg is an ideal place to live as we are very close to all the Game Reserves so we often go to the bush to see a variety of African animals as well as the Big Five. We have a beautiful coast house an hour drive from Port Elizabeth in St Francis Bay and often go to Cape Town and drive the Garden Route to wine farms and coastal towns. |
